Welcome on the site of the family tree of PELLEKAAN, VAN HOLST PELLEKAAN, PELLICAAN and PELLIKAAN.
I’ll introduce myself first. My name is Johan Pellicaan, born in 1959 and live in Rosmalen, the Netherlands. I am #1511 in the “red” family book.
The Red Book
In 1960, A.K. Vink published the first edition of the red family book with golden print of the family weapon. At that time, without the help of today’s technology, it must have been a massive job, taking years. The book starts with Peter and his son Peter Peterse Pellecaen in the year 1500/1520.
De last 50 year
Many things changed over the last 50 years. New family members were born; persons got married or divorced and died. This requires an update. I plan to not only create a new edition of the book, but also make the complete family tree available online.
That’s why I need your cooperation. All data you can provide is helpful. Think about:
- The NUMBER in the book - your family link.
- Last name
- Firt given names (all)
- Date and place of birth, marriage, divorce or death
- Last profession
And any other data that might become useful.
Living OUTSIDE the Netherlands?
If you live outside the Netherlands. It is not so easy to collect the data we need. There are for example many people with the name Pellekaan, Pellikaan or Pellicaan in the U.S.A.
It is my impression that many lived in the US for one or more generations and that this data is not included in the first edition of the family history. That also means any data you can provide if you live abroad, is important till the moment we can trace it back to the moment you or your ancestors came to the US (or any other country for that matter.
